In short: this website collects as little as possible — and only measures anything if you agree. · Last updated: July 2026
The principle
seologie.com is a largely static website and collects as little data as possible. There are no user accounts, no advertising and no social media embeds. Only two things on this site process personal data — and both only because you actively trigger them or give your consent: the form for submitting a thesis, and audience measurement, which starts only after your explicit consent.
That's no accident — it's the point: SEOlogie teaches transparency and trust. So we tell you exactly what happens and ask you first — instead of quietly tracking you. If you do nothing and submit nothing, you can read this site unobserved.
Audience measurement (Google Analytics) — only with your consent
To understand which content is actually read, we use Google Analytics 4 (provider: Google Ireland Ltd.). This measurement does not run automatically: on your first visit, a notice asks for your consent. Cookies are set and usage data (e.g. pages viewed, approximate location, device type, forms submitted) is processed only if you agree; your IP address is used only in shortened/anonymized form. If you decline — or simply don't decide — no measurement takes place (technically implemented via Google Consent Mode).
When this happens, data may be transferred to Google's servers, including in the USA. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw it at any time, effective going forward, by deleting the browser data stored for this website; after that, the notice will ask you again.
The thesis form
If you submit a thesis through the form, we process the details you enter (title, field of research, thesis, reasoning, evidence, name, contact) in order to review your contribution and respond to you. The submission is delivered to us by email and additionally logged in an internal team channel. To protect against automated abuse, we check the submission with Cloudflare Turnstile; as part of this check, Cloudflare processes technically necessary connection data (including your IP address). The legal basis is that processing is needed to handle your submission, together with our legitimate interest in keeping the site free from abuse (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR). Your details are not used for advertising and are shared only with third parties involved in handling your submission.
Server logs
When you visit the website, the hosting provider processes technically necessary connection data (e.g. IP address, time of access, page requested), as is the case with every website. This data is used solely for the technical operation and security of the site and is not used by the operator of this website for any kind of analysis.
External links
This website links to external websites (e.g. in source references). The respective operators are responsible for their content and data processing.
Contact
If you contact us by email or through the form, we use your details solely to answer your message. The controller under data protection law is the operator named in the legal notice.
